KOLPIN Products on Sportsmans

I just bought a 2007 Sportsman 800 and am looking at some KOLPIN products to install, like their rear loungers, gun boots, boot mounts, 2" receiver hitch etc. Unfortunately I can't verify if their products will fit on the Polaris plastic racks. Anyone have any of their products installed that they could post photos of, and let me know how you mounted them to the racks? There is no fitment info provided on their website and they won't respond to email.

most of that stuff is all universal fit and will probably come with some bolts and u-shaped brackets. KOLPIN is a pretty good aftermarket brand, but none of their stuff is going to fit and line up like the polaris lock and ride stuff will.

From all the photos I can see on their web site they seem to have nice products but unfortunately I can't find anyone locally that stocks any of them so I can actually touch-n-Feel before I purchase. I find it dissappointing they won't reply to inquires about their products. Makes me wonder how they'll react if you try and work a warranty claim with them.

Most aftermarket products I've been seeing are secured with 'U-bolts' to tubular racks and not the flat rack like is on my Polaris.

BTW: can anyone tell me what the metal tracks are for on the Polaris racks?

From my limited poking around I haven't seen them on other Polaris racks. I king of thought maybe the previous owner had something that slid into them and took it off and forgot the metal tracks. My Polaris service/repair manual just showed up and I see that my paticular model is their 'Deluxe' model was also supposed to have come with a rear rack which wasn't on it. From the photo in the service manual I can't see those tracks. No big deal, more of a curiosity. I don't know who the previous owner was so I can't call and ask him. I wonder if there is any way someone can find out who the original owner was by the VIN # ?

hi, the metal tracks are for tiedowns. you should have a front and rear rack-both with metal tracks-part of what bolts down your racks also holds your fender in place. never seen a sportsman with no rack.

ALL of the big full size sportsmans from 2005 and up have those metal tracks in them. as stated, it gives you a spot to possibly attach a u-bolt, or a bungie cord on to. its just additional attachment points, but for nothing specific. i have never seen a product, from polaris or anyone else that slid into those tracks....

and i could run your VIN# and find all of the info on the orginal owner like name, address, phone, email, ect.....but that starts to get into a confidentiality problem if i shared that info with you...no offense, but im not sure if i want to go that bridge
