1995 polaris sportsman 400

Hey guys, i'm in Michigan and looking for a nice pre-owned Polaris quad. I found a 1995 Sportsman with a snow plow for $1,750. I'm wondering if people here think that is a decent deal. A new battery, and new rear axl are a part of the deal as well.

that's probably all they'll be able to get out of it.
Don't get me wrong ,the 400 2 stroke when properly maintained, will live just as long as the 4 strokes. check the compression if they'll let you. you will have chain maintenence also.

Cool, the guy claims the compression is good. Push button 4 wheel drive which i'm guessing is the 2 stroke? How bad is the chain maintenance? This would be my first quad, just don't want to get into something that will be a money pit. I do know that the Polaris are very reliable. Do you think it's a good buy for the 1750?
