sputtering problem
I just got this used 2006 Polaris 450 sportsman it has 365 miles and 60 hours in this machine. the engine idles good but when i put it into gear and start drive the throttle goes good until it gets around 5000 rpm then it starts sputtering like its not getting gas.when i have it in park i can rev the motor up and it doesn't sputter.only starts when I'm at high speeds the sputtering start. It was running fine until i drained the gas and put high grade of gas in it and sea foam. the part guy told me to clean calibrator run 2 oz per gallon first then only run 1oz then after of the sea foam . also im also having a problem with the battery icon keeps flashing on the screen and the speed needle flashes. when i turn the head light on it goes away. i als  o installed a new battery problem didn't resolve

Is this unit carbed or F.I.? Kinda sounds like it's hitting the rev limiter or running out of fuel. Anyone know the rev limits on these???

Ok, the main jet is eigther to small or partially plugged. If you replace it go two steps larger. There is a number stamped on the jet. And use the Sea Foam!
