no 4wd on sportsmans 450....

My 450 will not go into fwd, did the diagnostic and shows off at the switch when switched on.... any ideas..... saw the earlier posts about the 400 someone had probs. with.... Thanks

is there power at the switch?
If so, check the switch and see if you can jump it (by-pass and feed power to wheel coil) If this works, you need a new switch.
If not then check and see if the wire that feeds the switch is not broken or disconnected.

If its not electrical you might want to try changing your diff fluid. over time shavings get to be enough that they mess with magnets that engage your 4 wheel drive. make sure its polaris front lube though its a nonconductive fluid. its an easy thing to do and a starting point for mechanical problems.

Hey, to all that helped.... thanks a bunch.... no power to switch and all wires were intact... pulled off the cover under the headlight and there it was ... a simple plug had came apart... plugged back in and all is well.... just in time 4-8 inches of snow in the forecast.......
