Why is it not offered on the "Value" models? I don't see why having the strut front suspension should affect the steering system.

I desparately want to put power steering on my 800 6x6.

The strut system has nothing to do with the value lineup not getting eps. As gtsum2 said, it's all about cost.

Why not put IFS on the Value line, would make production easier!! Look at Yamaha, the Grizziak line has it straight across the board, and you can get EPS on the 450 Grizziak too.

Thanks,
Will

I wanted to bring this TTT. For me, I don't care about the costs, I care about the 6x6, and they happened to design that on the "value" chassis - which is cool. But that is the hardest steering beast ever with my 27s on it.

Does anyone know if the XP power steering unit is stand alone, or does it "talk" to the ECU? I know ATR quick making their kit because of issues with the electronics. I don't care if it costs me $4,000 - I want to figure out power steering on the Big Boss. Another option might be adapting the Ranger power steering kits, but they have a LOT more room for installation, so I would think the XP chassis would be preferable.

I'm sure with deep pockets like that anything is possible! From looking at our 500 beside my my 550 it looks quite different (size wise)..But I am by no means a mechanic...

I believe the XP power steering unit is tied up with the ECU, just like everything these days. They have a EPS service light so it must be. Plus I think assists less as your speed increases.

But with enough money it certainly can be done in some form.
