2007 450 polaris sportsman

I was told last year that it skipped timing and the valves tightened, $400.00 This year, will not start with key but it will start with rip cord. the amount of times it take too pull start it is getting longer and will not idle when it is started. Gas was pouring out of the carb drain. Changed float, needle valve, ran sea foam in gas and crank case for one tank of gas. changed oil, spark plug and put high test in it. ran great for about 6 miles, next week back to square one. I have checked and set the throttle cable, new battery, new plugs, filters. I am ready to buy a new starter, but I would like to hear that is the problem before spending the money, help

have you tried jumping the start solenoid. if its one of those two with the e-start problem, jumping the start solenoid will tell you either way?

thanks blueline, I will try it. I tried getting it to start with the rip cord today and it wants too but it just will not turn over. I turn the key and it sounds like it is going to fire but will not, thanks again
