I see the racks have changed for the 570 as well. Steel and composite combination.

So the only time I would need an 800 is if I lived near moutains and huge hills.

I believe the 570 has 42ish BHP and the 800 is still at 54 BHP. no one NEEDS an 800 but some of us like the extra low end grunt. If you want EPS then you have to get the 570. Ill bet getiing your hands on a 570 will be tough!!

I agree Matt! I feel slighted! They couldn't even add the bigger fuel tank. Tells me the 800 is on it's way out.And now you cant even get an 850 non EPS. I hope when I am ready to tade in/up there is still a big bore in value line.

Hopefully Indeed. What I find interesting is that they spiced it up like they did..... if you watch the history of the value line, they usually intorduce the new items to the bigger / twin bikes first and than the smaller. Exact oposite this time!

I'd bet next years line up or a mid year line up will have these changes to the value line.

I stronly think it would be in thier best interest to leave one bige bore / twin in the value platform lineup!

Only time will tell..... I'm not to worried just yet, as I hope to own this one for a few years (5+) before moving on to something different.

Did a little research last night on the 570 and it appears to perform about the same as the 800. EFI, EPS and longer range per tank might make for an awesome machine.

Nice to see Polaris making some changes that appear to be positive. I love my XP but it's a hog when compared to some of the smaller more nimble machines. also, from what I've read the 570 isn't new to Polaris it's just new to the ATV line. The SxS have had that motor for a couple of years with similar performance to the 800 with a lot of added benefits. I know some die hard Carb fans are going to be ticked but EFI is the way to go. I just bought an 05 Honda 1300 VTX and the carb & choke is a PITA! The only advantage to the choke is it forces you to let the engine warm up which is a good thing....

44 hp and good gas meleage vs 50hp and poor mpg for similar performance, Id go for the 570 since you can have the eps for the price of an 800.

So the 570 is that good?
The 500 carb is not too much slower. Lack of raw power though.

The other thing about the 570, is a single cylinder vs a twin on the 800, the seat should be narrower, which I really like on my 850. The 570 weighs 702 dry and the 800 is 741.
