2010 Sportsman 800 Mudlite XTR's or Maxxis ZIlla?

I just purchased a 2010 Polaris Sportsman 800 and I am looking to put some rims and tires on it. I have decided to go with the ITP ss312 rims but I do not know which tire to go with. I have friends telling me to go with each tire....what do you think Mudlite XTR or Maxxis ZIlla?

I'm in the same boat man. Just purchased the 800 but I bought the BigHorns from the dealer. I'm going to ride them for a while but I am already hungry for more. As soon as the wife cools off from this purchase I'm getting some 28" Zillas.

Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

I wish! Damn thing is still on order. That don't stop me from claiming that I have one though LoL. Should be in this week. In the mean time I've just stayed clear of the dangerous deep or made sure someone else was with me that could get me out. Broke the ice the first weekend having it. I dove off into a soup pit. Shamefully pulled out by a Honda, well a winch on a Honda to be specific. We rode this weekend and I finally got it a bit past 10 hrs and WOW I was surprised at the power. That thing will do everybit of whats on the speedometer. 70mph+. Top speed really isn't my thing but man it was fun leaving all my buddies in the dust. None of them even had a chance.

Seems I got a bit off topic there LoL. My only advice is get one. 2500, 3500lbs whatever. Keep in mind you get what you pay for and you won't be sorry. I think the winch is by far the most important accessory you can have.

I have intentions of getting a winch...but I must say that myself and the guys I ride with all cary tow straps and much rather use it than a winch. It seems so much easier to use the tow strap than the fricken winch cables.

Ohhh yeah.....about the bike....its definitely full of power. I have around 4.5 hrs on it and have only been able to really go at it once. I know I only had to put it in 4wd one time which was awesome. I was also able to get through more with my bike in 2wd and having stock tires versus my friend on a king quad with mudlite XL's!!!

My Polaris (Warn) 2500 lb winch died a few weeks ago. I put a new 3000 lb Warn in its place. I recommend getting some bow shackles, snatch block (pulley) and some tree staps to go with your kit.

I am debating going with the 3500 polaris versus warn set up 3000. I have had the XT30 warn and loved it
