coolant
what type of coolant do i need for 2000 sportsman 500? i see its green can i just go pick up some green coolant from the parts house? please i need to know.. also witch way does the face need to blow? iam haveing the temp light come on. i put my had in front of the rad and it feels like its pulling air to the motor. i put my hand on the back side were the motor is and i feel air is this right.

I have always used the green from the auto parts store, otherwise you could buy the universal coolant you can add it to any color/make of vehicle. with temp light make sure radiator is clean remove the front screen and side covers and hose it off good. the fan should be sucking air through radiator otherwise when you are driving the fan and natural air movment would be fighting eachother

Polaris recommends their coolant cause it's a 60/40 mix

thanks, i think i found the problem it was low on coolant and i let it run for a good 20mins and no temp light.
