Along with being an AMSOIL dealer, I am also a dealer for Apexcone HID kits. These are great inexpensive HIDs for trucks and cars. Plus the come with a lifetime guarantee.

If I can be of further assistance, don't hesitate to ask.

Take care,
i believe the bulb size is a 880
I too would be interested in a HID kit for my 850. let us know what you come up with. my questions would be what wattage and what color temp are available with the ones you sell.
thanks,

Ken
Ken,

From my research today, we have the 880 bulb from Apexcone HIDs. These are lifetime guaranteed systems and offer both 35W and 55W systems in 3k, 4.5k, 5k, 6k, 8k and 10k bulb colors.

They offer a single bulb (low or high beam) plus a dual light package for your lower lights as well. My recommendation would be to use a 35W 6k bulb in the headlight (to act as a lowbeam) and then 55W 8k bulbs in the lower light assemblies to act as the highbeams. The high wattage 8k bulbs will wash out some and look very similar to the 6ks in your headlight.

I will PM you and anyone who is interested with pricing.

Guys,
I think im going to move forward with these but have a question for the current XP owners. When you switch from low to high beam is all thats really happening is its turning on your pod light? I havent had to use my lights yet so I am uncertain.
Also, for those considering this the 55 watt versions produce too much heat for our small enclosures so make sure you get the 35 watt kits.

My apologies, I mentioned that in my recommendation but remember now that it has been corrected here, that the same thing occurs with the fog lights on the Chevy Duramax and 55W bulbs.

Anyway, I completed some more research with 03stage2 here today and have determined the 35W setups we offer are plug and play with the 880 bulb. I will have them loaded in our online store within the next day or so and will post a link to them in my section on here and in this thread when it is ready so you can read more about them.

If I can help further, please just PM me.

Take care,

I highly recommend Hid lights and NOT the piaa's as for when you have the HID's you don't even notice the piaa's. I wish i never would have purchased the piaa's. They also get muddy real quick and can't be easily cleaned cause of the grilles. Definately get the 55W as they are 40% brighter than the 35W. A friend of mine has the 35W and I have the 55W and what a huge difference. I have the 6000k.
Here's two pics of the stock lights verses the HID's

I have 6k HID's in all 3 of my lights, they are incredible. I also have the PIAA driving lights on the brush guard, the HID's make them look like their not even on.
