96 Xpress Carb ?'s...Where do these hoses go?

My carb started flooding out and I ended up with gas in my pull start housing. A co-rider told me my float was pry stuck open so Ive removed the carb. The questions I have is 1. Is the gas in the casing caused from the float sticking? and 2. Does anyone know where the 2 small brown hoses attach? (the 2 hoses that come together were melted to the muffler, and the other has just a cut end going nowhere. Are they gas hoses, oil hoses, vent hoses?
Thanks for any advice.

I am not to familiar with that atv but my guess would be that they are vent hoses. The ethanol in the gas is causing problems with small engines and atv's. After you clean the carb if the gas is not fresh replace it and add a fuel treatment such as Seafoam(#SF16) or similiar it only takes about 1oz per gal and I use it in all my atv's,lawnmower, and generator. It works.

The gas is fresh, had just filled it up couple days ago. Im wondering now, after reading some other post, if the hoses arent oil injection and overflow hoses, just figuring out where they go....
