2004 Sportsman 400

Hi everybody,
This has probably been asked before, but is there a way to remove / override the flashing maintenance spanner from the dash of a 400 without taking the bike to a dealer to have them remove it with their software? I don't have a dealer close by.

Any help is appreciated.

I found the hour meter for the maintenance reminder through the over ride button while in the diagnostic mode. I turned off the reminder their.
1) turn key off wait 10 seconds
2) shift to neutral
3) hold yellow reverse override button and turn key to on.
4) release the button when the display is visable.

Use the yellow override button to toggle through untill you get to the service interval screen i am pretty sure while sitting here it is screen #5.
#5 is called programmable service interval

I turned mine off their you can change the hours their and or shut it off.
