2010 Sportsman 500H.O. noise.
Hey, I just bought a 2010 Sportsman 500 h.o. It only has 1hr on it and it has started making a weird "chriping" sound. It happens consistently when I slow down without using the brakes at slow speeds in high or low. It sounds like the squeek is coming from the clutch but it is hard to tell. Anyone heard of this before?

I have a the 10 500ho. Mine makes a winding sound like a turbo when I slow down. I think the clutchs make some noise. It has 18 hrs.

clutch noise,normal,think snowmobile if your from an area that has the weather for them,lol.

Also hear the noise. 11 hr on mine.
Typical of clutches/belts on sleds. Not sure about 'chirping', but definiately whining.

Thanks for the info. It does make a whining sound on deceleration, thats normal. Just before it stops it chirps, like metal on metal. Weird.

Hope you got warrantee left. My friends 06 sportsman 450 had $1200 in work for cv shaft and bearing replacement the first year. Among other odds and ends. Warrantee payed for it. After he made a big stink at the dealer.
