1999 Sportsman Carb question

I bought a rebuild kit for my Carb. The jet needle has an e-ring on it that can be moved up or down to control air/fuel mixture. I removed this ring without noting the placement of it on the needle. The specs show the placement to be 4HB41-3 in the manual. Does anyone know what that means?
Any advice would be great.
Thanks

I cannot say for certain where yours was, but generally are in the center position.

How about a good light and a magnifying glass. You should see some evidence of where it was.

i agree , the last number normally tells you what position to put the pin in.

I second that.

95 Magnum 425 4x4 , 518HO carb & air box, 12inch rear wheel conversion.

02 Magnum 500 RMK

If it ain't broke, I can't afford it!

the -3 most likely means the 3rd ring... which is the center, which is the norm on stock jetting.
