94 Trailblazer Problems
I just picked up what I believe is a 94 Trailblazer off a buddy for $50 in pretty rough shape. I have ridden it before and saw it running up until last night when he snapped the throttle cable. I have a couple questions on the quad, and I'm sure as I work on it, ill have more.
1. There is no battery or starter on the quad. Did some come without electric start and just have the pull start?
2. The pull start recoil is broken. Is there just a spring, or is this a complete unit that has to be replaced in order to make the string recoil. Until the throttle cable broke, we just had the side cover off and wrapped it up by hand.
3. I am completely unfamiliar with polaris quads, but I know it is obviously automatic. There is only one gear when the quad is in drive right? I would say this quad tops out at about 30 MPH sound normal, or is the tranny not shifting out of first gear or something?
5. Is the oil injection on these any good? I have a blaster and they are known for failing. Same with the polaris?
4. How much is a quad like this worth in good condition? Mine is missing the rear plastics, the fronts are spray painted, and missing the gas cap and broken throttle cable, but do you guys think it is worth putting the money into.
6. Any common problems with this era trailblazer that I should look into?

hello...i am a yamaha man , i stumbled on to my trail boss.....i didnt know much about them myself....i had always considered polaris a step below the jap bikes...and i still do but i really like this polaris....the automatic is one speed, no gearing just put it in forward and gas it....i personally mix my own 45-1 bel ray...you could even go leaner...i just like the extra protection and i evry once and a while goose it to clear its throat and clean the plug.....its a very simple machine and very inexpensive to fix.....granted nothing beats japanese workmanship but these polaris, are decent machines
definetly get it going , $50 bucks...its worth 15 times that in used parts !
