A-Arm Removal
What the hell am i missing?!
Trying to take the a-arm off of my 2000 ttrailblazer. Got the crown nut off by the tire, and the forward bolt holding the a-arm to the frame. Go to take the rear off and it just spins. What am i missing.

I just replaced the Left A-Arm on a `98 Scrambler 400.
There's a shaft that goes through the A-Arm and spins.
If possible, since you got the front bolt out, try removing parts (A) they should slide out if you can lower it enough.
Then hold the end of the shaft (B) with vise grips.
Did you compress the coil spring before taking the ball joint nut off?
This makes it easier to remove the part of the A-Arm that's attached to the ball joint bolt.
I used a gear puller to get that part of the A-Arm off the ball joint bolt instead of removing the 2 bolts
that hold the ball joint socket on and removing everything.

Then try sliding the A-Arm right off the shaft with exposing it completely.
Then grab it with vise grips holding it still and removing the rear bolt.
Lowering the front part of the A-Arm should be possible, but it "may"
bend the rear bracket a little. If this happens, just bend (hammer) the
back bracket back to where it needs to be and put it back together.
Are you replacing the A-Arm?
I replaced this A-Arm from the `98 Scrambler where the front bracket
was actually broke and I had to bend it back & weld it.

Bolt 17, and nut 17 are driving me nuts! My front tire is wobbling around on a 2000 scrambler, have the tire removed, quad is all jacked up and everything. I'm trying to start tearing the whole assembly to find the problem, but can't get that nut off. The bold just spins. I tried vise gripping it at the end, no luck. I also looked at another way to get at it, but I'd have to start with the entire suspension, top down to get at it. Uggggh! Any thoughts for a newbie?
