2005 Trail Blazer

My 250 Trail Blazer runs fine until it reaches operating temperature and then shuts off. It will not start back up until it cools. Can anyone help?

Try loosening your gas cap and go for a ride. If it doesnt shut off, your tank vent is blocked.

If the cap does not solve it, it could be a bad coil. It would be hard to detect with an ohm meter unless hot and even then it is difficult.

id check for spark when it gets hot ...also check the compression possibly getting low mine did almost that it would get real lazy when it was hot and if i shut it off id be there for about 45 minutes ended up replacing the piston and rings which isnt a big deal at all on these little 250 2 strokes !

If you haven't changed the spark plug lately try a new plug made for the 250 and make sure it is gapped right. Just a thought. Cheap fix hopefully
