polaris trailblazer 250 starter removal

i was asked by a friend if i would replace the starter on his 250 trailblazer.was wondering how they are to do before i decide if i want to do it or not.lol.do i need any special tools and is it bad at all to do?

takes a couple hrs must remove both clutchs and inner pvt cover and recoil housing

front clutch has to be removed with a clutch puller cost about 50 bucks though a polaris dealer. my shop i charge 10 bucks to pull it if the cover is off i would think any dealer would take ten bucks for 2 mins work

stay away from those, "replacement" starters. Just threw one in the street for customer. and installed his old one, in 00 GTX.

Take your apart, and/or take to alternator/starter shop...if anything.
