2003 starts with black CDI wire disconnected, please help.........................
Well I have a 2003 that as mentioned in the title, it wont turn on unless the black CDI wire is disconnected. If I am not mistaken, that wire is the kill switch wire. Well I was wondering if anyone out there has run to the same problem and if there are any suggestions as to where to start in fixing this issue. It was sitting for about a year and I have been able to get it to run since about 2 days ago, still ride it like that. I love my Polaris, please help with this issue.
I also have another question(s), I have never changed the brake pads and I now I did something wrong.
First of all I was not able to change the rear brakes, the piston was to hard to push back in so I have to look for my c clamp.
Second I found out the the foot brake is not working, it looks like the little piston in the cylinder is stuck, do I need to remove it and clean it. I have not even started to look at the front brakes but I now they need to be replaced.
Third I loosened the nipples on the rear brakes to see if I could get the piston to go in but it didnt work, now when I use the brakes on the handle bar they are too soft and are not working at all.
Fourth I stripped one on the tork screws on the cap that is used to add brake fluid on the handle bar, now I am not sure how to get it off. I was thinking of buying one from Polaris, I think I saw them only for like $2 and using a drill to get rid of the stripped bolt head and remove what is left over with plyers.
I love riding my Polaris as you guys do, please help me if you can.
