96 TB no start suspect carb issue

Greeting all, last Saturday some friends and I went out on some trails. I started up my 96 Trailblazer and all seemed well. We rode the trails for about 30 mins and took a break after shutting it off and resting we decided to go riding again and loe and behold she did not want to start for nothing. Finally after about 15 minutes af cranking choking etc it started and ran fine. This happened everytime we stopped and it it got to the point i stopped turning it off. Well at the end of the day I had a slight accident and it rolled over softly one time after I bailed on a bad hill At this point again i had to fight like hell to get it running again. We rode for about another hour after that and it ran just fine. When we got back to the trucks I wasnt thinking and shut it off prior to loading it up. Since then it rufuses to start, for giggles i went ahead and replaced the spark plug and verified the fuel filter was clean and that it is getting fuel. Once in a while it acts like it wants to start but over all she just doesnt seem to want to fire up.

SO I pulled the air cleaner off to get a better view of the carb and attached is a picture but I have some concerns. One being it appears that some vacumn lines are broke/disconnected and or misplaced. One the line labeled #1 it comes of the carb into two differnt places to a T which feeds to nothing... Does anyone know if this should be wide open or does it goe somewhere. The other line is labeled #2 appears to run to the frame rail to a hole and is not attached to anything, again does this one go somewhere? And lastely i noticed as well a line coming off the transmission going to nowhere which i assume is a breather line?

Im guessing this carb just needs to be rebuild badly and thats why it wont fire up but im concerned about these lines and to there proper locations. If any of you experts out there can tell me where they are to go i greatly appreciate it.

Updated for less reading -----Ok one last try before I send it to the shop and wait for them to tell me how much it cost be fore i scrap it, here is the scoops to help avoid any confusion on my part. Problem is the bike wont start once its been running... I thought it was the carb so I rebuilt it and the problem continues. I replaced Spark plug, fuel lines and filter. Fuel flow is fine and there is spark when it wont start (thought maybe the coil was acting up) Once its been ran it will no start for a few hours unless im really lucky or use Ether on it. When it starts it runs just fine no issues in the slightest once it is shut off again if you try to start it up with 30 secs of turning it off and it catchs it will start back up but if it doesnt catch your done until its either completely cooled down of you use spray.

I am lost on this thing, i see no reson what so ever for it not to start unless i am missing some specific Polaris engine design if its getting fuel, spark and airflow the damn thing should fire up everytime lol.

I think all those lines are ok. From the picture, it looks like your fuel line is leaking after the fuel filter. Might be getting too much air.

I just had my carb rebuilt. The valve needle was worn out. It wouldn't start and if it did it only ran a few seconds.

the vent lines are ok but you need to rebuild and adjust the carb, change the float needle valve ,float pin and install a new main jet.than readjust the float level height.also check the choke plunger make sure it opens and closes freely.

well rebuilt the carb and having the same issue, its harder than heck to get started but once it does she runs just fine. I am completely stumped by this as it shouldnt be this hard to start.

it certainly is still something with the carb setup, after much trial and error im thinking it maybe choke related but i dont know LOL. It seems it gets better the more i run it. It does run very well but the whole starting up thing is a total pain in the backside. now if I thouch the choke when its running it will die rigth off the bat. However if I shut it off and let it set for 3-4 min with the fuel off I have to use full choke to start it back up and slight pressure on the throttle.
