My Trailblazer is a blast to drive...

My 2000 Trailblazer 250 I bought as an extra bike for when I bring a friend to go riding. Automatic, and an easy bike to drive. I have a 2008 Can Am Outlander 800 Max XT, and while I use that bike exclusively, and love it, it is big, wide and difficult to drive in tight twisties, and with the longer wheel base (it's a 2 up), I have to go slower over whoop di doos, so it doesn't nose dive. So, I decided to take the Trailblazer today( the first time I took it out for me to ride). What a blast to drive!! I whipped it through the twisting trails with ease, kicking the back end out effortlessly, and it handled the whoops much better than the Can Am (well it should anyway). The only thing it lacked was power in the straights (in comparison to the Can Am). I'd much rather have the Can Am at a place like Hatfield McCoy, but for a day on narrow, tight trails, it was a totally different experience....in a good way.

i know "most" people bash the trailblazer for being down on power and lackluster to ride. however, for trails and most mx tracks, the tb is a blast. it is not as fast as the race bikes for sure. but it soaks up the whoops and bumps very well. i wished i had kept my 2001 tb myself. but at the time i didn't have a need for an extra bike but now i would love to have it back.

My family has a couple of these TB's that we have modified. A clutch spring from Rick Ritter Cycle (i recommend 2 steps up from stock) ~$20 and a new chain and 42 tooth sprocket kit (We use RK X-RING chains and cheap sprockets from Rocky Mountain ATV) ~80 for both. So for ~$100 it makes it that much more fun to ride.

We have 3 total; additionally, 2 of them have HPD Trail Pipes on them. Increases horsepower from low 20's to high 20's. Also a nice mod, but you have to rejet.

All of ours are premixed with polaris gold @ 32:1.

Enjoy!
