02 trailblazer automatic performance

I just got a 2002 Trailblazer 250. I am new to polaris ATVs and wonder about the primary and secondary clutches. I grew up with snowmobiles and was thinking that the secondary clutch had 2 stages that felt like a shift point once you picked up some speed. Is this the case with the trail blazer?

no, the blazer has a CVT, so the ther is no "shift point" it just the way the primary and secondary move that is constantly chaging the belt ratio, but it will be smooth the whole time. they change based off of wheel speed and engine RPM

Thanks blueline. After inspecting the machine over I noticed some JB Weld looking stuff on the trans by the sprocket, looks like the normal chain came off and cracked the case. In getting another transmission do I have to get one for a trailblazer or will one from a scrambler 2x4 or something else work?
I would rather just get another trans than to buy a case half, tear in down and found the last person ran it low on oil for a length of time and messed up the rest of the insides.
