02 Trailblazer 250 will not idle

I have an '02 Trailblazer 250 that was running fine one night then would not run anymore. I have pulled the carb, cleaned it and reassembled it, installed a new sparkplug, cleaned the fuel tank and lines. Here's the problem, When I start it, I have to maintain a throttle open to keep it running. If I release the throttle, it dies. If I allow it to idle down some, and then throttle it up, it bogs then revs smooth. No matter how I adjust the screws on the side, there is no effect. All the way in or backed out 4 turns, no effect. I measured float level at 16mm with the carb upside down measuring from the parting line to the brass float arm. It still seems to be very rich. Also, with the air cleaner installed, it bogs really bad. I will say though, when it revs up, it runs smooth. Any ideas? I also need to locate a good service manual. Is the Haynes manual anygood?

Clay

Thumbs up Solved!!

SOLVED!!!!!!!
Okay people, don't laugh. Here's the deal. If you put ALL the pieces back in a carburetor, they work. I had left out the starter plunger (choke plunger) and spring. So guess what, it is very rich. When I found that thing laying on the ground, put it back in, the thing sings pretty.
I said dont laugh.
So, if you are having the symptoms I was, take a look at that circuit in the carb. Could be flooding you out or hung.
