2001 Trailblazer high idel

Hey guys i might have a problem.

This last weekend i got a 2001 trailblazer in great shape.
Runs strong.

Over the weekend when i started it the idel was very low.
I had to keep the gas going to keep it running.

Now with out doing anything to it the idel is very high.

And ideas whats going on?

I'd like to welcome you. Do you think you might have a cable hanging every now and again?

I have one more question.

I have been through one and a half tanks of gas.
How much should the oil injector oil go down.
How many tanks of gas should use up the oil injector oil.

I am not sure exactly how much oil you should be using because I got rid of the injection and mix my oil and gas together. It's recommended to mix 32:1 which is 4oz if Oil for every gallon of gas, so that being said I don't think you will notice a big drop in your Oil tank everytime you burn through a tank of gas. I.E. for 5 gallons of gas that's about a cup 1/4 of oil. I got rid of mine because it is just un-reliable and alot cheaper and "safer insurance" in my opinion to mix myself so I know I won't blow up my engine.

As far as your idle your goes if you take your seat off a look straight down on the right side of the carb you will see a gold screw with a spring. That is your idler set screw. Take a flat head screwdriver and go in from the right side footrest area. While the TB is running turn the screw to the left until it idles where you think it sounds good. They do usually idle low which is normal, If you think it is to low just turn the screw right and it will idle higher, don't idle it to high so your clutch is engaging. If this set screw is the problem you can just replace that and the spring from a good site I can give you, but try that it should do the trick I mess with mine every so often.
