Anyone remove seat when on the trailer?
I dont think that I like not having a mechanical latch on the seat. Has anyone lost a seat while trailering? I will probably throw a strap over mine for a little piece of mind.

I have trailered my 550 several hundred miles (many of which were 60-70 mph) with no seat loss issues....actually, never really thought of losing the seat 'til I read this post. Thanks for giving me something else to worry about .
My seat actually fits pretty tightly. I have only had it off once, and it was so tough to remove that I thought I was gonna break something. My dad has an LE that he bought the same day I bought mine and it has also seen several hundred miles of trailering with no seat loss issues.

I lost one on a twenty mile run with the sport in the bed of the truck. It is now secured with two screws
through the rear fender up into the seat frame. Buddy

Never thought of it either. I have not had any issues with any of my machines (08, 09, 11, 12) on the trailer. Although now I will be watching the rear view mirror The seats seem to be on pretty tight, wish they made a latch for them though.

never heard of this happening to anyone. This is my fourth xp with thousands of trailered miles at 75-80. If the seat is secured on the quad it has to be lifted up from the rear to be removed. Not sure how a seat that is properly secured on the machine could fly off unless you were going 80 in reverse...
