Front diff seal leaking

Well, it's seeping. It's the seal that the front driveshaft from the engine goes into on the back of the front diff.

Is this seal a PITA or easy? I'd like to avoid pulling the front diff if at all possible.

can just pull front shaft off, get a seal puller and remove and replace seal

That sounds easy enough.

compress the driveshaft, pull it out.
Pick seal out from back
Slip new seal in and tap her in, fill her back up and move on.

I really didn't want to pull that front diff.

I was just curious if that stupid Auto Decent Control thing was the fluid that was leaking out from there.

mine is too. 2010 550 xp eps. 170 miles 20 hours..what a friekin joke. these xps are plagued with problems.
had i done more research i would have surley had been scared off from buying this bike.

i have the clunk into gears.
i have the noisy transmission. sounds about to blow...but its normal!?
i have the leaky front seal..whats next for this brand new expensive bike. i hope it isnt the intake valve like i have heard.
i have the play in the handlebars that people are using threadlock on at the steering post.
and still worrying about broken a-arms.

put the patv13 spring in primary the other night. totally unacceptable polaris shipped these out..they are dangerous.

time will tell if i regret buying this bike. it does ride awsome, but the other issues are way uncool.

i have rode a 2000 325 magnum for ten years. been a great bike. geuss times have changed for polaris.

i read on hear about it being under the eps unit...well..mine was on top of unit. there was a bolt and nut that i tightend and got a little better. however im sure it will snap before i get it tight enough. its already cranked beyond what i consider tight, and still play left. gonna give it a little more torque next time in garage. if it snaps i will go get grade8 hardware and try again.

My 09 duct is up near the airbox but still under the seat, pretty slick to have it up there.

funny we where talking about the front diff seal. I ran her around the block to make sure the front seal wasn't going to let go and the rear end was whining. Odd, never done that, drained it ans was milky, lol. No leaks visible so I think it might have taken some water in the vent tube when I washed it last. I saw a drop of moisture in my vent tube(clear). We didn't ride any water last time we went out..none.
