Taking forever to go into 4WD

Has anyone running in the cold and snow found that
the first time of the day like when you are loading your
machine on the trailer the thing will not go into 4 wheel drive

but after i run it a while it will go in and i don't have any more
issues all day.

please advise

Yes, I've had that happen too. I talked to a guy that is a whiz with things like that and he seems to think any bit of moisture in the front end (if you have a machine with the Hilliard Clutch style) would freeze up and cause it not to engage properly. After you drive it for a bit and get the gear oil warmed up some it will allow it to work like it should. So have no worries, you are not the only one with that problem, my '04 700 does it all the time in the winter.

my buddy was just talking about this. he has an 2011 850 xp eps touring and said the thing bangs into 4x4 when he's plowing. he also says he has no traction. so i told him he has to upgrade the stock tires for the traction and i found it odd about the 4 wheel drive because i hear polaris's 4x4 set up is top notch.
