Nothing much hear but the starting, I did find that my oil filter wasn't on very tight though might want to check that.

I know i got pissed about my 2011 850 but my dads 850 has been doing good so I am starting to believe mine was just the lemon from hell hahaha. My dealer offered me a killer deal on my bike on a trade in for a 2012 eps or non eps my choice. When your 14 eps is not to big of a deal to you. I would end up spending 500 for the non eps or 1100 for the eps. and I get to keep the bags and boxes I have for my 2011 850

I just dont want to get stuck with another piece of crap thats why I want to see what they have wrong.

A good bike to me so far, I read that the non eps isnt very hard to steer, i would of liked to go that way because less thing to go wrong but they didnt have any in stock at the time. Any airbox issues you had with you 11' is now fixed i hear but if you had ball joint problems or things like that it might still be the same.

nope I was the first person on the forum to fix the air box problem on a 11 and under 850 with the 12 parts. I want non-eps because like you said less to go wrong. My 11 did not have eps and it was just fine steering and it did not have that top end shake my dads 850 eps has

Hard to steer compared to what, an EPS machine? Sure, it doesn't have it but it is a lot easier than a value lines steering and you don't get the EPS option. The difference between my '10 500HO and my new 850 is night/day, so much easier on the 850. EPS there is no feeling what so ever.

I don't know what type of top end shake your dad's has but my '11 with eps has no shake at least to 60MPH, and that's plenty fast for me. These are not the 40-45MPH quads of yesteryear, LOL. If you are looking at top MPH you had better have a tight suspension and a tire/wheel combo that is balanced for that speed. As for eps, I think it's great. But then I'm over four times your 14 years of age.

The only thing I do not like is that when you hit the gas you have to wait for the belt to tighten before you start to move.... really hard to park it as I have to back up onto my pavers to park it and and the spot is just big enough for the wheeler and I have to get real close to the house, hard to do with the little delay between the throttle and actual moving... My 800 was instant response, I only upgraded as someone paid top dollar for my 800 so for $3k I went from an 06 to a 2012... That was a no brainer as I beat the piss out of the 800, but she took it like a beast!
