Just wondering if anyone can tell me why my Polaris xp850 would move with out touching the throttle the bike is not reving any diffrent it did it to me twice where it would slowly go forward and then I would shut the bike off put it in park turn it back on and back in high or low and it wouldn't do it anymore also it was hard to put in gear and then it would get really easy once it was shut off thanks for any input

Common causes of this are idle too high or wrong belt. What RPM is your idle at? Have you changed your belt recently? Those are the two quick and easy things to check.

One way bearing it the primary clutch is sticking. 09's tended to eat through the lower shim and rub the sheeve. Sometimes if the clutch gets hot it will cook the grease in the bearing, and it can be fixed with a parts washer and new grease. Sometimes they just wear out, but if the idle is normal then 95% likely this is your problem.

I would check for broken engine mounts and also pull cvt cover off and check for binding clutches. It sounds like your belt is too tight causing it to keep the secondary spinning all the time. That will make it hard to shift with the engine running. If the engine is moving around it could cause the belt to tighten up. If the primary clutch is binding it could keep the belt moving. Do your ride in deep water/mud? Could have gotten some water inside the cover and caused it, Buddy.

I know the "VOICES" aren't real but they have some great ideas.

Pull your clutch cover and make sure your belt is good and that you don't have any debris in the clutches. As far as clutch kits go, call adam at quadshop customs for your clutching needs. If you need something more extreme, Airdam is the absolute best clutching.
