the 2010 only have one rear caliper, the 2009 and dual rear caliper, which is way overkill on an 800lb machine

BLUELINE15 so this is normal because after looking closer at the rear A ARMS the right lower arm the is a brake line clamp on the swaybar and a bolt tapped into the aarm for another clamp but nothing at all on the other side.

my guess is that they were still using the 09 a arms that would have been set up for another caliper.
what i just did is look at the brake system microfiche for both the 09 850 and 2010 850.
on the 09 model is clearly shows two rear brake calipers, when you switch over to 2010 model, there is only one rear caliper in the system.

Your dealer is taking off your extra brake rotor and selling it to make a profit. I just bought one for my 2010 850 xp.
LOL. I noticed this when I first brought my 2010 home also.

Sometimes you do need 4 brakes and a parachute to stop these 850's!

since the rear is locked up as a live axel i dont think you would really notice the difference, maybe just a little easier to lock up the tires. with the weight transfer the front breaks are doing most of the braking.
as long as the brake system is up to par all is good.
