XP550 EPS -Strange Noise- help!!!!

just got the new 2010 XP 550 EPS home last night- and when I was shining it and removing the warning stickers-- and setting the clock I noticed a very different and disturbing noise.

When I turn the key on and the fuel pump primes ( motor not running)
( I was playing with the power steering)
There is a gurgling noise that is constant. It sounds like a coffe pot when it get's down to making the last bit of water-
It appears to be coming from the lower left side down around the dip stick area.
The noise never goes away until I turn the key off- and if I start the quad it is to noisy to here if it is still there.

Setting the clock and other functions just by having the key on this is very noticable..

ANy HELP? or is this a normal annoying sound to just used to??

call the dealer and have them make a note of this complainant you only have 3 mt warranty my new xp550 without power steering never made this noise if it continues take it back I've had my xp 5 mt ride hard and its perfect

I was never offered an extended warranty-
Can you shed some light ( cost) and can I still obtain it?

I went out this morning when the motor was cold and t still makes the noise-
Only thing i can think of is the power steering unit as this is when it has power to it initally

Low on gas? This machine is fuel injected and the fuel pump may be sucking air

Nope-
Full tank from the dealer and the gauge reads full

Is anyone having this noise from a EPS model?

normal noise from the eps with the key on. some may make more noise than others.

No Way this is normal-
do you know what noise I am talking about?
I just pulled the EPS fuse and the noise stopped- replaced it (hot) and the coffe maker sound came back--
So it is the EPS unit, but now is this normal or not...
I will be going to the local dealer ( not where I bought mine) and see if any floor models makes this grugling.

Can't help with the noise, but supposably, You should be able to get the extended warrenty at any time up to the expiration of standard warrenty. Talk to your dealer about that.

SNW629 is right its normal. mine has done that from new and got 1400 miles on it and no problems except the recalls.
