it also does one more thing. when you put your vechicle in reverse, the machine is rev limited to around 10-11mph. if you try to go faster, the machine will start to pop and "backfire". also if you have your machine in 4x4 mode, and go into reverse, it will auotmatically take itself out of 4x4 mode for safety reasons, as its easier to flip it over turning in reverse in 4x4 mode. if you press and hold the button in while in reverse, it will give you 4x4 in reverse back, and also take away the rev limiter, but only for as long as you hold the button in.
thats where the override portion of that button comes from
