Exclamation A Polaris Tech Rep

It would be very helpful if there were a Polaris Technical Representative on this forum to answer questions about machines!

It would be, but they tend to reserve themselves to dealers only. The problem is they would be answering questions for "free". They want you to go to the dealers, to support them. If you have a problem that is big enough for tech reps, then they tell the dealers how to fix it to support them. Hope that makes some since.

I work at a dealer. We have a nifty feature called "Ask polaris" where we can submit a question, and a tech rep from polaris answers it within 4 business hours. We also have a lot of access to manuals, PDF, ect. Takes some digging, to get to, but it is there.

we have already supported them by buying there products, so it wouldn`t be a bad idea if Polaris had a representative on the forums to directly answer questions or help resolve any problems that some may be having with there machines. If they had there own section here were we could ask questions, and then maybe they could come here once a week and answer our questions. I know it will never happen, but its something to think about.

it's a nice idea, but in reality they would have no incentive to do so.

as blue said above, the auto industry manufactures/dealers business model would not support this.

but that's the beauty of internet forums in the first place. it's a place for people with the same interests to share what they know and help others because they like doing it. more of a hobby instead of a job.

I realize that Polaris is just like any other company that sells stuff, sell it for as much as you can and give as little warranty as possible and hope the product last long enough to at least get past the warranty.

But the incentive would be a company that`s proud to stand behind there products and answer peoples questions and maybe help with problems that some may be having.

i agree, it would be sweet to have a professional polaris tech on this forum, but unfortunately money > pride in the business world.

But hey, at least polaris keeps a lot, if not most of their ventures in the USA. that is definitely something to be proud of.
