A word about excessive signatures and sponsors hi-jacking threads

I believe some people and sponsors take it over the top by pimping their product(s) in everybody else's post, a paid sponsorship shouldn't be a right to hijack every 3rd post..... especially when there is a section of the site dedicated to sponsors.

This also holds true IMO on excessive signatures that detail every part, who you bought it from, etc, etc. I think there should be a limit to the length of your signature as many times it well exceeds the length of several posts.

I have 1 past machine listed, I would more than fill the signature page with machines we've owned in even the last five years. Even with my 1 past machine I still have a shorter signature than you and many others. But if it makes you feel better I will remove it.

My $.02... I'm really new to this forum and ATV ownership; seeing what other, more seasoned owners/riders use has and will be a benefit to me as I look for upgrade to my ride.

Just the little time I've been looking around it doesn't appear that there is a serious problem with sponsors hijacking threads as much as offering their wares when the opportunity presents itself. Also, from what I've seen, the more active sponsors appear to be active riders themselves.

Keep your sig man!! lol but please dont ask others to keep their text to YOUR minimum. The china comment meant just that. Im posting from the good US of A. Although im not certain im pretty sure this forum was created and based also in the USA. We still have freedoms here provided we abide by this forums TOS policy. I dont remember agreeing to a limited or even character based sig. My .02

This is not only a trivial thread but silly as well. Oh well.. ya gotta have a stinker once in awhile i suppose!! lolol

The sig lets people know what size atv the member has. Important info such as year, size of atv, 2wd or 4wd. Alot of people post a problem and never bother to tell you what atv they have. I think the sig helps.

I understand where Fishy is coming from. The thing I hate is when they just post welcome to the site. Theres one guy on here that has several thousand posts but all ive ever seen him post is "Welcome to the site". It is very annoying.

Popo500 you are talking about an adminstrator. BTW, look at your sig.
At the bottom before you submit reply you can choose not to add sig.
