A possible solution for the spamming PM's

so i have been around forums for a very long time, and every forum i visit these days is getting hit with spam. the sad part is, is usually it is an actuall person doing it so they can get around all the "computer blocks" and set accounts up to spam. i understand it is pretty much impossible to eliminate, but a couple forums i have been on do this:

they require you to have 3-5 post before you can send a PM. it is unlikely a spammer will take the time to click and submit any kind of a post to get to that count. instead they might start a spam thread, but that seems like that would be easier to take care of then having the mod's PM boxes flooded with forwards of spam for everybody, myself included, if i see the member isnt banned yet.

just an idea to help curve this problem, that is all, carry on

Hey that just may work?? I'm sure nobody EYES all the "people" that sign up, it's just computer generated and kicked back to them no questions asked!

I agree, I'm a mod on a boating forum and we do the same thing.
