Performance poor?

I am new to the forum and even before signing up I noticed it was SO SLOW. Before anyone jump in and points to issues my end, I have 20 MB UP/DOWN and running an i7 pc. I am also a user and contributor to many other forums so I my observations are comparative.

Any upgrades coming?

Ok, gueue its a prospective thing. ALL of the 5 or 6 other popular forums I use are significantly faster in terms of:

1) Click reply.... pause/delay before next forms is presented.
2) Searching... way slow
3) Non-performance related but when browsing multi-page threads, it seems to go back to page one each time, maybe after a back space.

Thanks for the reply.

A different site I visit, atvoffroad.net, has this to say this morning:

The site has been experiencing intermittent availability. Based on the server logs, it looks like the problem is either with the site that hosts this server or one of the other websites that this server hosts. Our web address isn't the only one experiencing the problem.

If the site goes down again and you are looking for status, check
mi-offroad.com in the forum. I'll be posting status there whenever I can't post it here.

I expect more problems today, as the server is reporting that something outside our control and visibility is using most of the CPU power. The server admin software is also not operating properly.

Stay tuned.

And then:

The hosting company is getting things under control. Most of the servers are online now, and all admin tools have been restored.

The servers are still running near peak utilization, so some slow performance is to be expected every now and then.
