no, every picture needs to be hosted on an external server, so the only way to get pictures its to use the [IMG] and [/IMG] tags with the URL to where the picture is hosted. When posted, the picture is displayed at the pixel size it is. This can be scaled up or down in programs like photoshop.....and hosting sites like photobucket will give you the URL for the picture to be displayed as a small thumbnail picture when posted to the boards, and when clicked full size.
i assume by inserted you mean "smaller" or just simply to be able to put a picture here without having to use a host and URL for the pic?

Yes, that's what I meant. I try to use pics for discussions and such when able. Some times it's easier to put then in the post itself for explaining things.
Too bad I took my website down a few months ago.

your welcome. i too use pictures and parts diagrams as much as possible. I use photobucket. I just upload the image from my harddrive to photobucket, and it gives me a URL with the IMG tags already, so all i have to do is cut and past it here. Its the only way to get pics to work
