ATV of the Month Contest?

Anyone interested in possibly getting a friendly competition for ATV of the Month?

My thinking is that, there would be a 2.5 week window to get one (1) picture per month posted. anybody can do it, all the picture has to have is a polaris ATV or UTV in it.

After the 2.5 week window, we start a new thread and will organize all the photos into it, where everybody can vote one time, it doesnt matter if you submitted a picture or not, if you are a member here, you get one vote. Vote for your favorite picture. the voting window would be open for one week, and finally, the moderators will talley the votes and announce our ATV of the month. The winner can have to opportunity to share a short story about the ATV and or the location of the photo, and a list of mods if wanted.

Next month it starts all over. Everybody can submit one new picture again. And maybe, if its popular enough, we might be able to get a calanders made of the 12 winners that we all can buy to help support this forum. Just an idea?

What say you? Would you participate if we did this? Hope fully this will get people to ride more, and take some pictures of where they ride.

Videos might be good but I think you would exclude a lot of competition. Maybe some don't have the means to put up video.
Besides, I think we could turn this into something great - consider the setting of the picture. Maybe the scenery would enter into the "beauty" of the pic.

Just a thought.

i totally agree here. some people might not want to or know how to go through the trouble of hosting it on youtube or somewhere, and then hotlinking it here. maybe videos could be reserved for the winner to show off. i think it might exclude a lot of people from playing though.

i think maybe a re-title is needed. i would rather see people get creative in their picture using nature and the background as an important aspect, as opposed to who has the most tricked out mods.

pictures more along the lines of the professional pictures you see in the polaris ATV model guides. it would hopefully get people out riding more in search of the next great spot to take a picture

I'm still a FNG here, but I'd participate in the contest. Maybe make the videos optional but not let them have a bearing on the voting (if that's even possible) LOL

The only thing that would concern me with a great nature shot is getting it to the great shot area without getting it dirty for the shot.
Say that 10 times fast
