Minneapolis, MN (4/21/2009) -The Sportsman 850 XP with power steering continues to show it's a top contender in cross country racing. Rath Racing Racer, Frankie Batista, took second in the "4x4 Open" class with another nice finish on his Sportsman 850 XP with power steering. Batista sits in fifth in the rankings with Teammate, Daryl Rath in third. "Rath Racing continues to have great success with the Sportsman 850 XP,"
said Eric Nault, race team manager for Polaris Racing. "Daryl Rath and team are showing the race world this quad's potential."
Also in the morning classes, Super Senior John Gallagher took second in his class aboard the Outlaw 450. Gallagher sits third overall in the standings, one point out of second.

Minneapolis, April 21, 2009 –The RANGER RZR is having another strong racing season with more success at Best in the Desert’s, Terribles 250 at Primm. Mark Holz and Matt Parks took the UTV class finishing eight-and-a-half minutes in front of the second-place winner. Starting in eighth position, the team quickly moved up to the top three by race mile 15, but got stuck behind a competitor for 12 miles in a particularly narrow section of the course. Polaris provides $46,500 in ATV grant funds |

Polaris Industries has given $46,500 to organizations in five states to complete the third year of the company’s T.R.A.I.L.S. grant program.
In a little more than three years, the Polaris program has given more than $746,000 in funds to local, state and national ATV clubs. To date, Polaris has assisted 83 organizations in 42 states across the United States.
Grant recipients included the Long Island Recreational Trails Conservatory of New York, the Balsam Trail Blazers ATV Club of Minnesota, the Birdseye Mountain ATV Club of Vermont, the Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Association and the USDA Forest Service, Ironton Ranger District in Ohio.
The T.R.A.I.L.S. grant program was launched in January 2006 for ATV clubs, associations and grassroots groups. The program makes funds available to not-for-profit national, state and local organizations in the U.S. to ensure the future of ATV riding.

Polaris Sportsman XP Wins at Big Buck |

Minneapolis, April 7, 2009 –Polaris was on the gas at GNCC Round 4, “The Big Buck,” in Union, SC. Reigning Side-by-Side Champ, Polaris/National Guard/Yokley Racing, William Yokley, continued his winning ways in the first race of the Side-by-Side series, taking the “Open Modified” class in his RANGER RZR; and Polaris/Rath Racing, Frank Batista, piloted his Sportsman 850 XP EPS for a third place in the “4x4 Open” class.
Batista now sits in fifth in the “4x4 Open” class for the series, with teammate Daryl Rath in third. Yokley is gearing for a second Side-by-Side championship with his RANGER RZR and has started strong for the 2009 season.
The next GNCC race is Acerbis Loretta Lynn’s, April 18-19, in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.
