Looks like there will be a 2011 850 X2 Sportsman |
|
Jun 02, 2010 - 9:28 PM - by cc1999

The 2011 850 engine was certified 6-1-10 by CARB, and on the certificate they list the following sportsmans
2011 850
2011 850 EPS
2011 850 Touring
and they also list a
2011 850 X2
I know several fokes have mentioned wanting a 850 X2, so I thought I would pass on the good news. Polaris will not likely be makeing a formal release of the machine untill the dealer show in July.

Quad Tech Hump Seat Review |
|
May 25, 2010 - 12:43 PM - by 4Nines

I have ridden a lot of quads and there have been very few stock seats that I have liked. Some times the seats are too slippery, some times the foam is too firm or too soft. With that said usually one if the first things I change is the seat cover. The stock Raptor 700 seat was decent but I always found myself sliding around on the seat when I really got aggressive. I decided to give Quad Tech a shot, I had heard lots of good things about them so I wanted to see their product first hand. I gave them a call to talk about color choices. There are certain times they answer the phone for orders so if you can’t get the phone during the day consider ordering from their website. After they answered some questions I headed to their website at www.quadtech-atv.com and did my order online. The order and check out went pretty easy. One cool thing about Quad Tech is they will install your seat cover for free if you cover shipping both ways of your stock seat pan. That’s a great option for people who are nervous about destroying their brand new custom seat cover.

Rath Takes Over GNCC “4x4 Open” Points Lead |
Apr 13, 2010 - 7:47 AM - by 4Nines

Daryl Rath and his Sportsman 850 XP EPS have been lurking right off the lead since the beginning of the 2010 GNCC Racing Season and this past weekend, at Big Buck they pounced on the “4x4 Open” points lead.
Rath, who finished second at Big Buck, has been relentless racing the Sportsman 850 XP EPS. His first race of the season was the only race where he didn’t place and he currently has one second and a two third place finishes in the series. He holds the lead at 72 points and feels the best is yet to come.

Ranger RZR wins back to back at 2010 Lucas Off Road Side-by-Side Course |
|
Mar 21, 2010 - 2:49 PM - by blueline15

Minneapolis, March 10, 2010–The 2010 Lucas Off Road Side-by-Side short course season kicked off with a bang this past weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with Polaris team driver RJ Anderson taking first in Saturday’s Round 1. Anderson, had a tight battle with the leader until the last lap when the leader’s engine let go letting Anderson cruise to victory with a 19 second margin over second place. Tyler Parks finished third, also in a RANGER RZR.
“I had so much fun out there today,” said Anderson. “This is the first time we raced at this track and it took me a while to determine the best lines, but by half way mark I had it figured out.”
Sunday’s Round 2 started off with a soggy track after heavy rain the night before. The “Unlimited UTVs” were lined up along with an experimental class that featured Side-by-Side’s fitted with 150 horsepower motorcycle engines. But despite stiff competition, the combination of driving skill, Kroyer power and the RANGER RZR’s four wheel drive allowed Anderson to again take the top spot on the podium on Sunday.
“With all of the rain we thought the track was going to be really slippery, but my RANGER RZR hooked up real well,” Anderson said.
Anderson also had the fastest lap on Sunday with time of 1:18.83 and with his two victories he takes a commanding lead in the championship.
The next rounds of the Lucas Off Road Racing Series takes place at Speedworld Off Road Park, in Surprise Arizona, on April 17 and 18.
Anderson is sponsored by Walker Evans Racing Shocks, Polaris ORV, Kroyer Racing Engines, South Point Casinos, Goodyear and Holz Racing Products.
