my bush quad trailer

here is my bush quad trailer. made from .080 thou stainless scrap from the local fiberboard plant. built along the lines of uni body construction
to save weight. i used rockwell torsion axles. i shortened them a little to give me 4 ft overall width. the quad goes in the truck box and the trailer
behind the truck untill i get to the bush. the truck rigid coupler slides out and the trick coupler hooks on to the quad. notice the deflectors
to stop hang ups on stump and trees on tight trails.

nice.

Do your deflectors have anything thicker that they are attached to besides the fender? I can see a little more force than that sheet metal could stand up to if you got hung up with a full load on board.

this 080. thou stainless is scrap from the local fiberboard plant. this is the belt that is 12 ft wide and about 200 ft long going around 10 ft dia drums. this stainless is the 400 series
meaning it,s magnetic and is heat treatable and it,s work hardened. a 10 lb sledge hammer just bounces of this stuff. i have to anneal the spot that i want to drill, all attach points
have thicker doublers to spread the load and the bottom of the fenders have a 1 1/2 in right angle to stiffen things up.
