WTH 500 sportsman melted seat ?/help

Ok changing the oil today and I just happened to notice the plastic seat pan over the exhaust on right side is melted...seems like a poor design...
Anyone have this issue and make a heat shield ? Interested to see/hear how to fix this issue...
Seems like a fire hazzard

What year? I have an 06 Sporty 500 and the rear plastics on the exhaust side melted pretty good. Didnít effect the exterior of the plastics much but definitely messed up the mounting of it under the seat. Not sure why Polaris didnít put some good or just overkill the best shields.
