Flywheel Removal

When changing flywheel on 2002 Polaris Xplorer you need to remove the nut correct? How do you remove the nut with the wheel cranking when trying?

Well, you can buy one of the various types of flywheel holding tools. Some are pretty good and some not so much... OR... you can pull the clutch cover off and stick a pry bar or something similar down through the primary clutch and let it rotate around till it braces against the frame. That will prevent the engine from turning while you loosen the flywheel nut. Its much easier to get the nut off with an impact wrench.

Yep - just use a 1/2" air or electric impact and spin it off no holding required
