Not sure about battery connection

Hello there! I am relatively new to ATVs and disconnected my 2019 Sportsman 570 battery without taking a picture of the wiring. In my memory there was only one negative cable but now I realize I have this additional thing zip tied to the frame and I am neither clear what it is, if it’s necessary (I assume so) nor if the cable with the black and red wire go to the positive? (Since it has both black and red sub-wires and black sheath) https://www.dropbox.com/s/e47drla00i...%20PM.jpg?dl=0

I’ve googled as much as I can and I can’t find anything about this... 😞

I wired just the main positive and negative back to the battery (without this) and now it won’t start...

It does actually start with just the main positive and negative leads and this cable from the photo completely disconnected. So I’m just not sure what that is and why I have a memory of it kind of being connected to the terminal.

That thing is a quick connect for a battery tender - may fit other models of tenders, but was supplied by the seller of the tender - black goes to neg and red to pos

Thank you! I’ve attached it as you said and all starts and back to normal. Now learning about tenders. Great forum. I expect to learn a lot here. Thanks again.
