Rear Suspension

Hello All
I have a 2017 570 and just yesterday when my wife and myself rode double with an empty small trailermy rear of the atv was very low and sounded like something rubbing, checked everything and saw nothing rubbing but back end was lower then before.Only have 900 miles on this machine,no leaking shocks but the stabilizer bar was very low.Any Ideas???

no my preload is set on first notch and I am going to adjust to 3-4 notch, this is not a two-up machine but never had this issue last month when my wife rode double for a short distance. This machine sees very little use so I am wondering if my shocks have failed or are weak.I will adjust the load on shocks but I am puzzled whhy all of a sudden this has happened. Thanks for the reply

Things break-in pretty quick and Polaris is known for the soft ride. Then again you're riding a single rider machine with two people so even though it doesn't seem like much of a big deal because your weren't beating on it and it doesn't have a lot of use it still could have been alot more then it was intended to handle. Not breaking balls just pointing these things out as they do tend to go overlooked. With that said I don't think you did anything to hurt the machine or abuse it I just think the suspension may have been broken-in a little faster then normal. But to be sure when you crank the adjusting collars check things out under there. Throw a wrench in a couple of bolts to assure they're tight. Also inspect the sway-bar end link bushings and bolts.

For what its worth, my 800 had @ 2500 miles on it when I got it. The previous owner was a big dude and had the shocks all the way up in the rear. After weekend of riding with my 120lb wife on the back my rear springs were about done and had sagged an inch or so. I installed a set of EPI rear HD springs and it brought it back up. If you plan to continue to ride with the lady on the back it may be something to consider if adding preload doesnt fix the rubbing issue.
