570 Sportsman

I am having starting problems, sometimes when I try to start it she does nothing, dash lights go out and no clicking nothing. Then other times she starts great. I put in a new battery that didn’t help. I noticed tonight if I turn the key on and off fast and a lot of times she starts
All help is greatly appreciated..,

When you turn the key on the dash lights come on normal ready to start, when you try to she try’s to start dash lights go out light a dead battery.

Ok I'm getting abetter picture here. I thought it was a intermittent problem and the dash lights weren't coming on. You're saying they go dim or out when turning the key to the start position. It's the solenoid or a bad spot on the starter. You'll have to test for power at the starter when there is a no crank situation. It there is power at the starter the starter is bad if not then the solenoid is bad. My money's on the starter due to the draw down on the battery.
