330 Magnum Starter continuosly engaged

I have a 2005 330 Magnum that when started the started remains engaged and you can hear it trying to start it even though it's already started. Any ideas on what's wrong?

thanks!!

hit the throttle a little and see if it dis-engages, they do hang a little at times

Thanks for the reply. That didn't do it however. Something else to mention is that when I first turn the key on to the auxilary position it starts immediately and doesn't need to be turned further in the starting position. I think that's what the issue is as that's what's keeping the starter engaged. I don't know if it's a selanoid or fuse issue. Just happened w/o warning.

sounds like wiring or ign switch problem, I would start at ign switch and trace wires back to selenoid

This happens sometimes on my 250 trailblazers. With them it is the bendix going out. (the bendix gets gummed up and doesn't disengage and slide back in.).
