I use Progressive and pay 800 a year for My Ranger, RZR and son's Phoenix. I could have a lower rate but since I am a safety instructor I like to have an extra bit of cushion. The best part, Progressive covers up to 3 grand in accessories and my trailers are covered when I am transporting them.

Happy days.

My Polaris Fleet:

2015 Polaris Ranger 900 XP Sandstone Metallic.
2012 Polaris RZR S 800 Liquid Silver LE (Wife's Ride)

2018 Polaris Sportsman 450 & 570 (Sage Green)
2018 Can-Am Outlander 570 x2 (Red non-EPS and Orange EPS)

^ this. Pardon the pun, but it is cheap insurance. Hurt someone and you could lose EVERYTHING. Couple hundred bucks a year for inaurance is a lot cheaper.

Would an umbrella policy cover any liability for an accident?

SEE? Those are good rates.

But I sure as heck couldn't get them. The only thing I can think of is maybe it's a regional thing.

Negative/Positive Resonator
Cold Fusion Heat Sink
Tri-Layer Impact Shielding
Black Lode Nuclear Dampners

And my fav: Twin Plasma Cannons in the 40W Range

A big part of it is your region, I pay a little under $50 a month/$600 a year for full coverage through progressive. I asked my agent why we pay more for the same insurance down here and he said it has a lot to do with the amount of ATV thefts in my area.

Holy criminy thats nuts. Is theft really that bad there? You would figure that if its at your home your homeowners would cover it.If its on the trailer your auto would cover it? Other then that can you get a policy that dosent cover theft

Yup, that's pretty much what I am paying. And we are probably in the same region, I bet.

Duse, about 25 years ago I had a car stolen. It was found stripped to the bone. I had about 600 bucks worth of tools in the trunk. The auto insurance wouldn't cover the tools. The home owner's insurance payed me a pittance; About $100 dollars if my memory serves. I was young and needed the money.

Theft is half the reason I got the insurance.

I have it for my 2015 Sportsman Touring 570 SP, cost about $260 a year, but I have 100/300/50 with $100/$200 deductible, also with USAA.
I don't have it for my 2002 Sportsman 500 H.O., but thinking of just getting liability and medical for other riders, after seeing my son-in-law ride it.
