need advise

I own a 2005 polaris sportman 400 when i turn on the key even before i start it, after a few second a warning comes on saying the engine is hot check engine

all of your warning lights should appear for a few seconds after the key is turned on, Does just that warning light come on ?

Is there any check engine light on when it is running?

The warning lights come on when i first turn the ignition on then they go off and after a few seconds a warning appears saying engine hot check engine. when you start it the warning stays on i checked all my conections

If it comes on(check engine hot) before the engine is warm then it probably is a faulty temp sensor.

Thanks I gave up and took it in to the dealer there's a recall on the electronic control module they said could have caused the problem
