Smile 1998 Sportsman 500

Thanks for your quick response. It only backfires out the exhaust. I've had this baby since new in 98. Not many miles and the maintenance always performed when needed. After hunting season i drained the gas tank and put her to bed. This spring she fired right up, and idles just about perfect. But when i open her up, then let off the throttle she backfires out the exhaust. Sounds like a muzzleloader going off. Now i can stay on the throttle as long as possible, but when i let off thats when she pops. I thankyou for your responce again. Clay
